格奥尔格·威廉·弗里德里希·黑格尔，德国哲学家，出生于今天德国西南部符腾堡州首府斯图加特。1801年，30岁的黑格尔任教于耶拿大学。直到1829年，就任柏林大学校长，其哲学思想才最终被定为普鲁士国家的钦定学说。因此，说他大器晚成毫不过分。1831年在德国柏林去世。
